I'm sure I've read that when you are unable to obtain a blood retrun, but are able to flush, this indicates a fibrin tail which can lead to CRBSI, if not treated. I've searched but not been able to find anything, I even have stuff from the cath-flo reps. They address trhrombus formation as a risk but not infection. Anyone have info on this?

not just fibrin tail, and may need further investigation of tip location (especially if cathflo requirement is repeated, or cathflo is ineffective).
