I would like to know if your flush bags for CVPs, arterials and PA lines are saline-only. What experience have you had as far as occlusions in these lines especially the non-tunneled CVCs?
We have been using saline only flush bags for years (15 or so) and have never had any issues as long as pressure bag is properly inflated and lines are flushed after blood draws. We use a vamp on arterial lines. We do not use continuous flush on any tunnelled catheters.
