I am interested in hearing from Vascular Access programs having a Medical Director on staff to support their program, especially when they were first starting out. What did that look like? Size of hospital, numbers of FTE's, early assessment, and what role did the Medical Director play? And how has it evolved over time? Thanks in advance, Deb McPherson MSN, RN
moved from Nursing to Interventional Radiology a few years ago, and hence have a medical director who is an IR MD. I can either describe here, or you can contact me off forum. It's been a bumpy ride at times, with benefits.
