25% alcohol lock
Would anyone having experience with this please respond.

I don't have personal clinical experience with it, but know that many in home care especially have used it. It is not available as a commercial product yet, so it is only available from a compounding pharmacy. And you must be very careful with any alcohol product in a polyurethane catheter as those catheter manufacturers do not have any instructions for its use yet.

We occassionally do Ethanol

We occassionally do Ethanol Locks for patients.  When we researched the literature it looked like 50% and 70% were most commonly used.  We use a 70% solution.  If you have specific questions email me directly
