Clear Microclave
I heard that icu medical might be coming out with a clear microclave? Does anyone have any idea about when we could see this happen?

Is anyone having trouble with the Microclave?

That comment could be quite

That comment could be quite misleading to some folks not as familiar with all of the discussion about needleless connectors.  The MaxPlus clear and the Microclave are distinctly different connectors with different technical specs.

Please don't add to the confusion.

You're right. They are quite

You're right. They are quite different. The microvlave is negative displacement and can't be cleaned very well before access because of the large (compared to bactera) gap on the surface where the syringe touches. The maxplus is positive displacement and can be cleaned very well before access. There's a study out there that says the clave/microclave doesn't pass this bacteria through it, but the 1st flush in the study isn't recorded, and this is where the bacteria gets flushed through. I don't understand why this sample wasn't measured.
