One of our surgeons asked about catheter whipping on implanted power ports. I have googled for articles, but have not found any. Anyone know of any "evidence based data" or articles regarding whipping during CT power injecting?
Thanks
Karen

I have never seen any published articles on this concept of catheter tip "whipping", but that does not mean that it is not occurring. I have also heard verbal discussions about this action. I would guess that the manufacturers have conducted data from internal test but have not published any of it yet. Have you asked this question directly to the clinical staff, not the sales staff, from the manufacturer of your implanted port? That would be where I would go.
