Per CDC and INS guidelines, dressings with a transparent semipermiable membrane can be changed q7days and prn. If gauze is used, the dressings need to be changed within 48 hours.

Telfa on a CVC dressing?? I have never used this. I would say this would fall into the tape and gauze category and require the 48 h change.
