Does anyone have a catheter fill volume chart?
We are using Cath flo in peds more and was hoping someone had the fill volume for average catheter types etc.

This information is included in the IFU booklets in all brands of catheters. However, a chart of this information would not be helpful. The actual internal volume depends upon how much catheter length was trimmed off. This varies for each patient. What is in the IFU would be the untrimmed volumne.

We created a reference table for ALT patients. Our facility uses primarily Bard products, hence the Bard catheters on the table. However, I do have a folder in my office with printouts of all the fill volumes for catheters we may see in our facility. If floors/MDs have questions about a specific catheter, I usually email them the link to the manufacturer webpage with that information, or just refer them to it verbally.
It is true that, as Lynn says, the IFUs/DFUs and technical specs list the untrimmed length. For trimmable catheters these volumes can only be a guideline, and a volume needs to be extrapolated from that information.
Please note that this table is not in final form. Hope it's useful.
