I report to Nursing
I report to Nursing Service.  For some reason, I no longer remember we were placed under the Nursing Education and Research Dept. years ago and it never changed.  We do have a medical director but I only consult him for problems I  can't handle or to inform him of any changes/updates.  We do not have IR.

Would just like to add caveat that it in some states it is not acceptable for a non-nursing supervisor to supervise a nurse in a clinical role.

The last hospital I worked
The last hospital I worked at reported to the Infection Control director.  She was a strong advocate for our PICC team.  I highly recommend this set up.

All of our infusion services

All of our infusion services (pediatric and adult IV therapy, pediatric and adult infusion suites, home infusion) report to the director of pharmacy.  We have a "dotted line" to the nursing services.
