Non-thrombotic occlusions
Does anyone have experience opening PICCs with non-thrombotic occlusions. We currently use TPA for thrombotic occlusions but have no policies to address non-thrombotic occlusions. I am especially interested in how to deal with Dilantin precipitates.

I would search this site

I would search this site using "Dilantin" or "fosphenytoin" as key words first; there is a lot of information on previous posts.

Have you/your company or facility considered replacing phenytoin with fosphenytoin?
