Does anyone flush the introducer, needle, and guide wire with saline before PICC inset?

You should follow the

You should follow the instructions for use for the specific PICC you are using. There can be lubricious coatings on the wires that are enhanced by saline flushing.

the guide wire  is placed in the needle upon vein access, the wire is not something that can be flushed, are you wondering if we flush the device that holds the wire before it is inserted in the needle?  if so , no
