Scrubbing the hub after AIC removal

Good Afternoon.

Is there any recent research that dictates scrubbing the hub after the AIC is removed to reduce BSI's in Central Lines?

 OK, generically I called

 OK, generically I called those disinfectant caps. Please see INS Standard on needleless connectors. When these caps are removed, the NC does not need to be scrubbed. Each subsequent entry requires disinfection thought. SASH requires 4 entries, so they would need to be scrubbed 3 times. Lynn
