VAN Certification Studyguide

I plan on testing in June. I need to get the Studyguide and found that to download it's 170 pgs. My printer won't be able to handle that. Any one out there have one they are willing to sell. This years download copy is $30 ($70 if i order hardcopy.) Or any of you tech suavy people know how better to download copy. It can only be downloaded once and save it to my home computer. I don't want to really have to study written material on computer. I like being able to highlite etc.

Are you referring to the

Are you referring to the Study Guide for Vascular Access Certification from the AVA website? I have it but to download it was $40 so I want to assure we are referring to the same thing. If so, please provide me an address and I will send you a copy if you would like. But I did download it from the website and printed it and am glad i did that. It is worth it!

Yes that's the one. Thank you

Yes that's the one. Thank you for helping me out. I know my printer couldn't handle printing that many pages and I can't do it at work.

There is a study guide and it

There is a study guide and it is available through the Publications link on the AVA website http://www.avainfo.org.

Keep in mind that the people who write the study guide are not the same people who write the test. In other words, don't rely on the study guide alone to prepare you for the VA-BC exam.

Good luck!

Pay the cost it supports your organization

Pay the price for the printed copy if you want a hard copy, the money supports the printing cost (as you admitted it is many pages) and your organization.  If you don't want to spend your ink, you can always go to a FedEx Kinkos and print it there, but again, not for free.   If you paid the fee to test, this is just another cost for becoming certified, and can be deducted as a business expense on your taxes if you itemize.

I did finally figure how to

I did finally figure how to down load and save, duh, to a thumb drive and take it to a better printer. Yes $40 is well worth the cost.
