A fairly recent INS Position paper provides recommendations for frequency of peripheral IV site assessments . How are people addressing this frequent assessment in their documentation?

We continue to document every shift (every 8 hours). The expectation is that staff will assess the peripheral IV sites per policy (used the criteria in the INS white paper) and therefore documenting would only be done more frequently when complications arise.
